Could It be Ovah!
Tonight is the pivotal game 5 of the World Series with the St. Louis Cardinals leading the series 3 games to 1. Is it over?
ESPN analyst Jeff Brantley stated on espnews last night that the Detroit Tigers are finished. In many respects I am hesitant to agree with him, simply because, in the playoffs, anything can happen. With that said though, the Detroit Tigers have made error after error in this World Series and sooner or later those mishaps are going to come back and haunt them.
Perhaps we will know soon enough if those mistakes spell the end of the 2006 Detroit Tigers. It all rests on the Shoulders of Justin Verlander tonight to stop the bleeding. As Jim Leyland said, in his press conference after last nights Cardinals victory, "we need to win three games."
